When is the best time for portraits?
After your child goes into a toddler stage you should think about your next photo session. Your child is changing so fast that any time is good to get them photographed. When you have your child photographed at regular intervals, it will give everyone a chance to look back and see them grow. Schedule your time when the child is lively and playful. Bring snacks just in case.
How much time should I set aside for the session?
A photo session can last anywhere from an hour to 2 hours. Some children may need to sit and play before they get used the camera and me.
What kind of clothes work best?
Always have a couple of outfits to change. If you want black and white, don’t just choose black or white. Stick to neutral colors, like patterns can be distracting and make sure your child feels comfortable in the outfit. If you want more a modern look then bold and patterned clothes are a good idea. Accessories are also a great way to make a photo look fun and unique like hats, sunglasses, boas and things girls love to dress up in. <
